Warrenton, Virginia

Presbyterian Church, 1855.

The old railroad station in Warrenton is now a restaurant, Claire’s at the Depot. We had dinner there on August 3rd, 2012. The caboose, still on tracks, rests silently at the kitchen back door.

So big!

A big thank-you to Paul Flynn, who answered my online plea in Nov 2010. It’s Prometheus, on his Quest Eternal, and he’s in front of the Prudential building, not the John Hancock. Also described here.

This caught my eye while I was out for an icy run in Boston, Massachusetts, February 2007. It’s the John Hancock Tower, but so far I am unable to name the statue. Too bad I didn’t also snap the nameplate. Click the pic to enlarge.
