Here’s our new three-legged table, created by our next-door neighbor Jack Murray and presented to us as a gift. I had been saving that hunk of oak in the garage for 15 or 20 years, intending to try some woodwork myself. Deciding I was never going to get around to it, rather than put it on the firewood pile I asked Jack if he’d like it for his own woodworking hobby. Thank you, Jack!
Below is another shot of this tree taken 4/4/2018, this time from the opposite direction and looking uphill rather than down. No geese this time.
The smaller of the two big oaks we had to have taken down is now split and stacked ready for next winter. That dog just won’t stand still!
We had it taken down last week for fear insect infestation had weakened the base enough to threaten the house. Two days of rain and mist followed.
