Deer, front door camera

6:30 Thursday morning, May 18th. Previously we’ve only seen occasional distant shadows in the wee hours. Photo probably taken minutes after some miscreant decimated Sandy’s new annabelle hydrangea.

Run 50, Sat Sep 28th 8am, race, 50th Va 10-Miler, my 27th, 1:51:19, 11:09, ran with John A. Chip time 1:51:19, 11:08, 11th of 21 in M70-74. Probably I was the oldest of them as I'm 75 in a few days. Did ok the first 8.5 miles, but then both calves kept saying they were ready to snap, so I had a hard time with slow jogging or even fast walking. Still my all-time favorite race! Photos: sunrise before start, EC Glass HS with finisher's medals, the official Waffle House brunch. Sunny, 61°F, 16°C, Humidity 100%, Wind N 0mph, UV 1, AT 66°F, Activity Feel 66°F. ... Run 47, Wed Sep 4th, Douneside, 8.1 miles, 1:37:01, 11:01. In the Cairngorms. Hilly. Looks like I ran a figure 8 as the barman had suggested. But surprise -- I ran a single loop with a single out-and-back tangent, without realizing that that turnaround was almost at my intended circle. Very strong winds up in the hills for the middle 7 miles. Cloudy, 52°F, 11°C, Humidity 97%, Wind SW 1mph, UV 1, AT 56°F, Activity Feel 56°F ... See MoreSee Less
