In quiet peace and rest our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend, Wilma Rose Ridout (nee Taylor) passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 1994, 12:15am. In the comfort of her home, with daughters, Gail and Judy, and three granddaughters by her side, Wilma Rose ended her days here on earth at the age of 74 years.

Wilma Rose was born and raised in Sutton, Ontario and married Ernest Edward Ridout in Toronto, Ont in 1937. Three sons and three daughters were born, of whom one son, Thomas, died in infancy. The couple resided in Toronto and for a short time in Guelph, Ontario.

Wilma was predeceased by Ernest Edward in 1958 while they lived in the Old Scott House on Progress Road in Scarborough, Ont. Wilma Rose moved to Landmark, Man. with her daughter Gail in 1986. The last 8 years have been filled with happy memories together with Gail's family, including several great-grandchildren. Together, Wilma Rose and Gail made numerous trips back east to visit family and friends.

Left to remember her thoughtful and generous heart are her children, Gary (Jo-Anne) of Belleville, Ont; Gail (Knox) Henry of Landmark, Man; Judy (Terry) Tone of Scarborough, Ont; Dennis (A.J.) of Owen Sound, Ont; Ernestine of Toronto, Ont.

Wilma Rose leaves several grandchildren, Gary Jr., Georgia, Kevin, Susan, Liane, David, Andrew, Carolyn, Lori, Kelly, Jeffrey, and Jeremy. At the time of her death, Wilma Rose had 31 great-grandchildren all of whom were her pride and joy.

Wilma Rose deeply appreciated the love and prayers received from all her family and friends during her short time of suffering. The many cards and flowers brightened her days in the same way as she had spread love to others. Wilma Rose was truly an example of generosity, love and care for all of us to follow. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gordon Dyck for his care and concern at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinback, Man. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 16 at 1:00pm in Landmark. A memorial service will be held in Toronto on Saturday, June 25.
