I contacted the museum via
email. Received a photocopy of a catalogue of William Ridout's
china collection, with some of it at the museum. In the Note
of the catalogue [requires the free Adobe Acrobat
Reader] it states it was prepared as a memorial to
her brother, a Miss F.U. Ridout, she also had some help
preparing the catalogue.
"A Catalogue of the Collection of Italian and Other
Maiolica, Mediaeval English Pottery, Dutch, Spanish and French
Faience, and and other Ceramic Wares, Formed WILLIAM RIDOUT of
LONDON AND TORONTO" (the title of the catalogue)
